Day Care
Doggie Daytime Paytime … your dog will spend the day interacting with people, exploring in our many fenced in playyards and sampling Judy’s home made dog biscuits. They enjoy the special one on one attention, and now that the weather is warming up a bit, they can spend more time outdoors. Our two staff photographers, Kimberly and Rebecca, have their hands full taking action shots or the activities, which very often include stretching out in the sun and rolling in the grass. Your pet does not have to be spayed or neutered to enjoy our day care as they are not going to play with other dogs.
As a veterinarian friend of mine said to me last year when he gave his reasons for not having multiple dog day care at his kennel.. “I have to sew them up” … and we don’t want anybody having to sew up any body here either. Now I am sure that some dogs can play together very nicely, especially if they are friends but I am just a bit skeptical about the safety issue when you allow many dogs to chase each other around a field or try to share toys.
I prefer to have our people playing with the dogs. Our only prerequisite is that they have their shots up to date, and to play with people of course they have to like people. And if your dog does not like people he/she can spend the day in our bright, indoor-outdoor kennels listening to WDAV classical music, and can still sample Judy’s treats. Day care does give them a nice break from staying home alone all day and you can choose a once or twice a week plan.
